So the US decided to run some experiments on people in Guatemala in the 1940’s. They purposely infected mental patients, prostitutes, prisoners and soldiers syphilis, gonorrhea, and chancres. All in all more than 1,600 people were infected: 696 with syphilis, 772 with gonorrhea and 142 with chancres.

So it took 70 yrs for the truth to leak out and that only came apparent when someone researching the Tuskegee incident found that the same Dr visited Guatemala. Makes me wonder what all experiments the US is doing right now. I guess we will not know for another 70 yrs.

If you are unfamiliar with the Tuskegee incident, the US government infected people with STDs and then studied the effects on humans. These people where not treated for the disease as far as I know.

After hurricane Katrina cops shot and killed citizens for no reason. Most had no weapons on them and were shot in the back. The police had a cover up going, they even met together to make sure their stories were right. I am very glad to see these people that are sworn to serve and protect us being tried for these charges. I believe in the past these people would have gotten away with it. With the internet and a skepticism of police work now these people are being tried for murder.  I will be real happy when they are actually punished. But you know they will get a slap on the hand and be let go. We’ll see.
